Igloo Parts Kit Ice Chests Review

Bought to fix a large marine radiator that someone had thrown away because its hinges and latches were broken and the drain plug was missing. I installed 3 hinges, latches and a large drain plug and I have the smaller one as a spare in case one of my other coolers needs it. Personally, I would have preferred the original hinges, but apparently Igloo believes in these flexible plastic hinges. better, because that's all you can find for now. Like others I had a radiator on the way to the junkyard and tried to fix it with these parts. The hinges are smaller and the drain hole doesn't fit very well even with two sizes. The hinge holes had to be drilled to make them work, but the top only opens at the right angle, no more than the old one. I bought this for the new Igloo 50 Qt cooler. After one use I decided I needed drainage. After reading other reviews I wasn't sure which one would fit so I bought this set which comes with both standard versions. As I suspected, he was not small. Last summer I found these parts to keep my good old igloo fridge running! I was so excited because I hate throwing away great things just because one of them broke. So go ahead, we replaced the hinges, latch and plug/spout. Everything was easy to install and we felt like we had a new cooler! The front latch doesn't quite fit perfectly, but it does the job.
