Good and Evil - Mirror

I love the mirror itself. Unfortunately the parties don't stay in place. Have been buying this mirror for about 30 years, have owned it for about 6 years. Always the same problem. Also, after a few years, they will short circuit. Light bulbs are very difficult to replace. And it could catch fire. Works well for stealth though.

  • Good Cause
Cons
  • No color required

The lights on it make me look like I'm in a fun house trying.

Disappointment! My old mirror that lasted 35+ years was basic, it just lit my face. The light on this one makes me look like I'm in a fun house trying to replicate the office/evening/etc spotlights and they do a terrible job. OK! It would be better with a bright lightbulb and an old simple magnifying mirror. Save your money, don't buy this lemon.

  • A dream come true

Why I Love This Mirror

A few years ago I had its predecessor, the Conair, and was blown away. When he died about a year ago, the Revain's lighted mirrors were LED. I ended up buying two and they just didn't provide the light my aging eyes needed. I also read recently that LEDs damage the retina, which scared me to death. In short I was very happy to find this (similar to but nicer than my old one). The "Home" and "Day" settings are ideal for applying makeup, adequate lighting without the problems of damaging the…

Not like before

I have been using this type and brand of vanity mirror for at least 25 years. I usually only buy a new one every two to three years when mine gets dirty from daily use and the light starts to dim. I ordered this again only to find it's EVERYWHERE next to the same product I was used to. It may be the same style and name, but that's it. First, the lighting is far away. Even with four different settings, none of them were good. Second, the enlarged side made me want to return the product. I use…

Wrong mirror! - Makeup Mirror

I had a Conair Illumina makeup mirror for probably 30 years but it eventually broke. I bought a replacement about a year ago and the magnified viewing mirror was deformed and I had to move my head to get the normal magnified image (which at my age is the side I need!)! So I bought this one thinking it would be different and it's exactly the same! Perhaps Conair still needs to "study" this mirror situation. Unfortunately I missed my return window by about a week due to travel. So now I'm stuck…

Not as good as the previous version but still useful

I have had two other versions of this mirror but apparently the older versions had fluorescent lights and the This is an incandescent bulb. I don't find the new lighting modes (Day, Office, Evening, Home) to be as accurate and bright as before. It looks like they tried to simulate the lighting from above (office) and below (evening) by simply removing the light source at the top or bottom of the two light bars. Strange. But it's still better than nothing for those who are myopic and need to get

I also like the two side mirrors and what they can be.

The center mirror has two different mirrors. One on each side and it rotates in the middle. One side is normal and the other is enlarged, which is incredibly helpful. I also like the two side mirrors and how they can be adjusted so you can see at the perfect angle. My only complaint is that the headlights aren't quite what I was hoping for. There are four different settings, but I don't feel like they're really all that different. I would also like the light to be a bit brighter. If the light…

Pros
  • 4 lighting modes: day, evening, office and home. UL Listed
Cons
  • I will add later

I wish I had read the reviews before buying. I've had the same mirror for over 20 years and decided it was time to replace it because: 1. The plastic on the back behind the bulbs has melted so is a fire hazard; and 2. one of the bulbs has burned out and I can't unscrew it to replace it. I received this new version yesterday and am terribly disappointed. If you like looking at yourself in a fun house in an amusement park, this is the mirror for you. The 5x side of the mirror is horribly…
