A little flimsy but works

A little flimsy but not much choice these days. Since this product is no longer available in chain stores, our options are limited to online shopping. As long as your opening is square or you use them with standard drywall they will work just fine.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No power

Good product - easy installation.

The product came as expected and exactly what I expected. I used them with a low voltage wall mounting plate to run wires through an existing wall. The tabs unrolled and held the frame in place, and installation was simple and easy. I would recommend them.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions

Decent mount for the money

I used this mount to run some cables from my wall mounted TV to my entertainment stand. The job is done, but the bracket is not flush with the drywall, causing the plaster to lift off the wall slightly. It's hidden behind the TV and stand, so I'm not too worried.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Good product for the price

This product helped me bypass a pipe I found in the wall when trying to use a single bracket. I like the low profile. It would be better if the screw holes were pressed into metal threads, but I wouldn't expect that at this price point. In addition, small bumps on the left and right side were a nuisance when installing the 8-port keystone jack plate. Luckily they were easy to remove with a sharp chisel.

Pros
  • good item
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works like a dream

later. I bought these to fit in the drywall behind my TV under the bottom outlet. This box was the easiest box I've ever built. @ Pull tabs you slide in and out and it's durable like nothing else. Screw on the cover and you're done. It really is that simple, I'm not kidding. I would recommend them to anyone doing it themselves.

Pros
  • Horizontal or vertical mounting. The bracket is a custom cutout template
Cons
  • . I will add

Ideal when hole is straight

These work great but you have to be careful to cut the hole just the right size. You can force this to shrink with enough deformation that the bezel doesn't screw in properly, which isn't this product's fault. If the bezel doesn't fit you can pull everything out, remove some drywall and try again.

Pros
  • Designed for flush mounting wall plates. It's easier to run more wires with staples than with boxes
Cons
  • Crumpled Wrapping

Stable wall mounts!

I bought these to wall mount and connect a 5.1 stereo system that goes through the walls in my home theater. I originally bought the metal from Home Depot but the design was terrible, with collapsible parts that didn't stick to the wall very well so the whole thing wobbled. I've used several of these 1 speed brackets in the past so I bought this one hoping it would be just as good and it is. It nestles snugly against the wall and the wall panel no longer moves. The screws are a little long so…

Pros
  • High impact plastic reduces risk of breakage
Cons
  • A few small items
