This item was purchased so I can listen to my stereo headphones in bed while my wife sleeps soundly at night without worry. I figured the 50 foot length would somehow degrade the quality of the audio from our HDTV, but to my surprise the quality is excellent. I highly recommend this item and you can't beat the price. The delivery of this product was also very fast.

The item came sealed in a small plastic bag. Not a big deal, but upon opening the packaging it was found that it was heavily coated on the inside with something like a silicone-based lube or something. Heavier than WD 40. I wiped it off and washed my hands but it was a bit annoying. I don't know why it was packaged like this but I'm sure the outer insulation wasn't damaged. Maybe it shouldn't have opened for 100 years? <laughs>

When using this cable I had to cut the jack to get 3 wires in. Other than that, the color code was TERRIBLE! When trying to examine this type of code, it is impossible to find out what colors were used. In the end, after spending a lot of time researching and testing, I ended up with a cable that worked for my needs. There's really no argument for the price, but they should still use a common color code (e.g. the ground wire should be black or already stripped).

I bought two of these to match two RevainBasics lightweight on-ear headphones. After two months, only one earphone worked and the cable twitched. (I had to maneuver into position for it to even work.) I thought the headphones were broken, but it was the cable. (I know this because I plugged the headphones directly into my player and they work great. Great buy for headphones. Not so much for a cable.) I'll try the RevainBasics 3.5mm stereo audio cable. It costs more, I hope the cost is worth it.

Cannot comment on the sound quality and durability of this cable (25') as I only use it with cheap headphones to watch TV while my wife sleeps in the bedroom and reads on the couch or plays the piano in the next room to not listen to music. I've only had the cable for a few weeks. The cable works, the sound is clear, there are no kickbacks. My previous cable lasted about a year so we'll see how this one performs. So far I'm very happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to people
