Great item! Looks great! I haven't bothered to attach the overlay yet as it is attached to the wood with screws on the inside. Extremely easy to install on my 2017 883 iron. The screws on the steering wheel are a bit long. I'll probably go to Low's and get some other ones at some point. I was afraid it would be flimsy and cheap, but it's really cool. As is the price!

I like it! I have a Harley Sportster 1200 XL 48 and it fits great if you place the sides that attach to the bike itself INSIDE the sissy bar holes and not OUTSIDE. Otherwise, you'll have to bend them a lot to make the sides fit. To the right. 🤷‍♀️ But it can be different with other models. Plus it's a nice sissy bar and a good price for it! I was impressed. 5 stars 😁

Looks great, fits well (although I had to mount the brackets inside and not as shown). I only have two problems #1. I would like to add some rubber gaps between the sissy bar mount and the bike but the standard bolts won't allow for that. #2 The screws that attach the bracket to the sissy bar are too long and protrude slightly. They also look a bit cheap. IMO better replace.

The sissy bar appeared pretty quickly, it's exactly what I expected. Looks great on my 2017 Iron 883. People have complained that the pad isn't pre-drilled because it's wood under the skin on the back and they supply screws for attachment. I installed it to see how it looks. I only drive one and used to buckle it up when going on long night rides so I removed the liner. For the price it couldn't be better! About twice as strong as I was hoping for. Concerned that the plates are too thin. Both the stem and the rumps are strong. Like 1/8 inch steel plates, and the stem is like a piece of smooth rebar. Heavier than expected. The only catch is that they don't include docking hardware, so you'll need (4) 5/16" screws. Also, the included screws (which connect the plates to the handlebars) seem very flimsy. I suggest you go to a bike shop and buy simpler nuts and bolts. I bought a bar to travel to DC…

Fits my 2019 883 iron. Like many reviewers, the first thing I did was get some good hardware. Hanger bolts are too long. Instead of star nuts, I went with nylon self-locking nuts and added lock washers and flat washers. Installation wasn't that bad. The thumbscrews are just long enough. I wanted to put a rubber washer between the bracket and the fender, but the screws weren't long enough. Seems sturdy overall (with upgraded hardware) and I hope it lasts. We're going to wait until the back seat…
