So they didn't go into the '99 Tacoma door panel because part of the power window carrier was blocking it and not allowing installation. They looked solid but aren't as flexible, and with the backs open, water and dirt still get into the speaker if you mount them to the door panel. I suppose if you used them elsewhere they would work better, but then again they didn't work for my Tacoma 99 door application.

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I have something to say about it. I recently attempted to upgrade the rear door speakers and spent quite a bit of money on it. I installed them around the speakers and they fit! but not in the door :( so i just used the included acoustic foam which works quite well for some things. what's not great is the bass, i've noticed that my new speakers aren't as bass heavy as they should be should' I removed the foam and it's like a whole new world. It's SO CLOSE to being a great product, but it has a few small design flaws that cause big problems: First, it has eight screw holes. Have you ever seen a 6.5 inch speaker with 8 screws? Me too. But that should secure the speaker to the baffle, so you'll need to fill the extra holes with some kind of sealant. Everything was fine, but it would be much better not to make any holes and just drive through the speaker screws. Also, the portion that goes through the septum is too large, about 5 7/8…
