Works as it should.

This is it. I've used it about 5 times since owning it. It helps, but most of the time it just sits at the bottom of the tool bag. Most of the time I don't remember having it or having time to get it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing

Very useful tool for Cat 5e cables

When I was installing keystone network jacks around the house this tool worked great and created a solid, stable surface to hold them in place while punching through wires. Without them, you're trying to hold the jacks in your fingers, which can result in soft hits and unreliable connections.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • For old

First time use, never again

I've knocked out many Keystones in the past just by holding the Keystone in my hand or on the carpet. Never had a problem in the past but once I found this and tried it I will never go back! This makes stamping ethernet wire harnesses into trapezoidal bricks much easier!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Unreliable

Couldn't get it to work with Leviton QuickPort connectors

The concept looked great but after trying it out with a Category 5e Leviton QuickPort connector I followed the instructions in the low res images and couldn't get the QuickPort plug to plug into the socket properly. a central bay that looks like a convenient docking area for an Ethernet keystone jack. I had to cancel and send back.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Disappear

Significantly reduced the number of patches I use at work

[The one I bought was sold by Otimo] I'm an IT professional and I break CAT quite often. That's how I hit myself too many times / did 110 hits on a percussion instrument when I wasn't very careful. When I have that extra little support, my hands and/or foot are out of the way, which is fortunate. It was worth the six dollars I paid for it! One note: it took me a while to get used to how different types of keystones fit in here. If this doesn't seem safe, try again.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Updates

Finally no more pinched fingers.

No more pinching your fingers when mating keystone connectors. It's like having a vise to hold the jack without weight. You can store it in your pocket and pull it out to stably lower the jack on almost any flat surface. The best thing for electricians since sliced bread.

Pros
  • Secure connection with Sharp 110 punch tool; Secure land with 110, Krone, or 66 tool
Cons
  • Legacy

Couldn't get it to work with Leviton QuickPort sockets

The concept looked great, but after trying it out with a Category 5e QuickPort Leviton connector, I followed the low-res instructions and was never able to properly install the QuickPort connector in the middle bay that like a real capstone looks like mating area. network connection. I had to cancel and send back.

Pros
  • 100% Guarantee on our products!
Cons
  • No Instructions
