Excellent quality, dogs love it, but the price is too high!

This product is fantastic and my dogs love it. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is the HUGE price increase (the price went up over $6 for a 14oz bag). I assume they are trying to make the same money as other freeze dried raw material companies but I need to find the best quality at the lowest price I can find and sadly it's not here anymore.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Volume

We use it as a training treat and dogs love it!

All dogs love it! I have a dog trainer and she has them in her backpack when she gets there. They sniffed it, and when we used it for training, they came on command. I have trained my dogs and they will do anything I say to get them as a treat. I've even given them to the pickiest family dog we have and they happily eat them. I love it and have gained a lot of time for myself and others!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Nothing

bad batch or new ingredients

We have been tracking this product for many years. It should be almost white. This batch arrived more on the brown side. I'm not sure if this is a bad batch/recipe changed or maybe there was a memory issue. I noticed loose stools and frequent pooping with them. Sign out just in case. But I would give 3 stars. 1) He was never really my dog's favorite. I just thought it would be good for her. 2) It was good to spice up the food bowl.

Tricky Marketing. Not exactly 56 servings!

The product itself is fine. It's their clever marketing lol! It says 56 servings here, but it's 1/8 cup. However, the minimum recommended serving is 1/4 cup. To break down actual servings: Under 20 lbs: 28 servings 21-40 lbs: 14 servings 41-60 lbs: 9-10 servings My estimates: Under 5 lbs: About 56 servings 60+ lbs: Not even worth it have used it as a slightly larger size for my 2 dogs (13lbs and 40lbs) without reducing their normal food and using 1/8 for my medium sized dog and I take a few off

  • Weight
Cons
  • So far so good

Great ingredients for dehydrated and freeze dried

I have 2 picky eaters and have used wet dog food and blue buffalo buns to get them eating but this is the best and easiest way. I crumble it over their kibble and they eat without any persuasion. Picky dogs may like different flavors, so you may need to find a flavor that works for your dog. My dogs love chicken, but for Instinct-Toppers, beef is the best. They are small enough to be used as a training treat or just as a general treat without worrying about your dog not eating a healthy diet…

Pros
  • Convenient
Cons
  • Unreliable

Raw but not just meat

I have ordered several packs of this product. And I have to start by saying that my dog loves it. "Breakfast" for them was an offer to accept or to leave (for a while). Now she can't wait to enjoy her "Raw" topper. However, I find the product packaging a bit misleading, at least emotionally. The name "Raw" and the prevailing image of raw cuts of beef are strongly associated with a product made primarily from freeze-dried beef. However, the real ingredients include zucchini, pumpkin seeds…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Highly recommended as a dog training treat and dietary supplement!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I took my dog to a refresher course and his trainer offered him these Instinct Raw Boost treats and he immediately loved them. He is very picky and won't even eat a treat out of my hand until he smells it and looks at it very carefully. . :) I think in a past life he must have been a foretaste of a medieval king. LAUGH OUT LOUD! At first I didn't want to buy them because I don't give him raw food and I've heard a lot of reports about raw food. Our trainer, who also has her…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
