Difficult to control.: Office electronics

Like a laser. I like mobility. It's too hard for me to control the mouse pointer. He seems to "float". For the m::) class, the Logitech trackball mouse works very well. As well as a wireless keyboard with touchpad.

Works well in the high school classroom.

I use this in my class with PPT slides and guided notes. The mouse function is a bit unwieldy, but I can use it to roam around the room instead of sitting at the computer. (I have a projector, but no SMARTboard.) A laser pointer works well for highlighting important information. My kids all want to use it because they think it's pretty cool!

Works as promised: Presentation pointer

This worked pretty much as advertised. The button that controls the mouse is in a slightly awkward position as it's easy to press when you want to use the laser pointer. I had to instruct each presenter not to press the button and also to press the button when the mouse started moving all over the screen. I've used it from both PC and Macintosh without any special drivers.

Poor product quality - laser. The mouse lacks precision.

I bought this for presentations and it would be better if I had a dedicated presentation remote. The moving mouse lacks precision and doesn't track well, which breaks up the presentation when I have to go back to my laptop to click an icon. In addition, the green laser is of poor quality (a common problem judging by other reviews). Mine stopped working so IOGEAR replaced it. The laser on the replacement turns on strongly, but after a few seconds the intensity drops to a point where it's barelyโ€ฆ

The best clicker for presentations!

I've had four presentation clickers and this one is the best! On the last two I had the gyro mouse function integrated, but this one has the smoothest movement. With a flick of the wrist, the mouse moves smoothly, similar to the Wii controller, but much better, more accurate and accurate. It takes a little practice to master the finer movements, but for someone who performs weekly in front of an audience, this little device is a game changer. I am no longer tied to my laptop in the officeโ€ฆ

Potential tipping point

The product arrived as advertised, including batteries. The receiver/transmitter is hidden in the battery compartment. Take it out and connect it to a computer (USB 2.0). Windows 7 installed the drivers and they synced/worked right away. You point your device at the screen and it syncs with the hand pointer. Wave your hand/wrist and the pointer will move to where you are aiming. It has a built in green laser pointer and works great. You can use the green laser dot to calibrate the accuracy ofโ€ฆ
