Not recommended on my review.

I bought this sometime back, but didn't pull it out for my 5 yr. old grand child until more recently. Unfortunately, none of the "blow" instruments worked. We're down to just the drum, maracas and tambourine. Tambourine needs improvement, too. Grand child likes the drum a lot so I hope it holds together a while.

Pros
  • 9.6 x 9.6 x 4.6 inches
Cons
  • Could be frustrating for children who are unable to make the desired sounds

Drum is ok, other instruments poor quality

I got this for my 1 year old son because of his love for drums. For that, I think it’s ok, but if I had the choice to do it again I would buy a different brand. My husband likes that the drum sticks are small and not too heavy because they don’t make too much noise, but my son prefers our other drum sticks, though he prefers this drum. The quality of the other items is not very good, unfortunately. One of the maracas broke within a month and little beads started falling out. We glued it, and it…

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • May not be age-appropriate for some children

Not worth it - my new review

This set is cheaply made to look like little instruments but they dont sound like them. The trumpet takes a huge deep breath and all my muscles to get a pathetic half squeak out of it. My toddler couldn't get it to do anything so she threw it around. The recorder was fun but there is only one sound that whistles out no matter how you try to play it.for example you can't play three blind mice.its all the same repeated note that comes out. The maracas and tambourine are decent but didnt hold her…

Pros
  • The music set provides hours of fun and entertainment for kids, encouraging musical exploration and discovery
Cons
  • May not offer enough variety or versatility for children to use

Good choice - my new review

Got this for my 2 yr. old granddaughter. She loves it. Pieces are sturdy plastic, and small enough for their little hands.

Pros
  • Parents can join in on the fun and play with their children, creating special bonding moments through music
Cons
  • Could become outdated or irrelevant over time

There's no music to be found in this cheap set.

This is a very cheaply made product from China. The harmonica plays one note, and it's more of a squeak than a note. The trumpet is extremely hard to get any sound out of. It also plays one note. Although the four push buttons on the top do go up and down, they serve no function. No matter what you push you still only get one squeaky note. The flute is no better. You might get two notes, but it has no tone. The plastic is thin. I don't see this holding up for very long. The drum does sound like

Pros
  • Thinks he is a musician
Cons
  • The trumpet does not make a sound, the harmonic came with a small crack on it

Poorly Made Cheap Toy

This product is insulting to children and music. Every piece is so poorly made. The tone of the drum is dreadful, the harmonica only works on one side, the trumpet is impossible to blow through and the valves are just decorative. The only wind instrument you can get any sound out of is the recorder and ours cracked on the first day. This instrument just teaches children they are bad at music. Save your money and just buy a real recorder or a couple of well made percussion instruments

Pros
  • Gift for toddler. Durable but sound was not great.
Cons
  • May pose a choking hazard for young children

fun and worth it even tho its a little pricey

my daughter is a true musician at heart and she has had so much fun with this. Her cousins visited and they loved it too.a little loud but worth the joy it brings

Pros
  • Playing with the tambourine toy allows children to explore rhythm and timing
Cons
  • Could lead to fights or arguments over who gets to use which instrument

Flimsy drum; good maracas

My 18 month old son, who loves music, immediately loved this. The concept is really good — everything fits inside the drum for easy storage. The drum however would never stay shut, and was not durable. The "trumpet” makes no sound, and he was too young for the recorder but he loved trying to put it together (it’s two pieces). After about a month of joy and frustration, I’ve thrown this away. It was a fine quarantine purchase but it wasn’t right for us.

Pros
  • My granddaughter loved this! Perfect for a toddler! Durable and cute!
Cons
  • Breaks easily

Good quality, not necessarily safe

We are having so much fun with these instruments! My almost two year old loves them. He likes to share them with people when we have guests. I don’t leave the recorder or drum sticks alone with him as I am worried he would poke an eye or stick one down his throat. Also had to remove the strap from the drum because he was getting it wrapped around his neck

Pros
  • Drums & Percussion
Cons
  • Could cause fights or arguments over who gets to play which instrument

Cute but not perfect

The trumpet and harmonica don't really play well but the drum and and mirachas or fun for my 18 month old. The recorder is annoying hahaha

Pros
  • 18 months - 8 years
Cons
  • May not be easy to store or put away

Decent for younger kids

The recorder broke when trying to assemble, it was difficult to push together and pushed too hard and it chipped off. Also I was expecting the instruments to be more realistic like the trumpet changing sounds when you press the buttons to really teach and entice kids. Would have been better to introduce much younger then 2.5 years of age.

Pros
  • Unisex-child
Cons
  • Could lead to excessive clutter in a child's play area

Variety of Instruments Great for Young Toddlers

Good variety of instruments for a toddler to play with - recorder (not a flute), harmonica (sounds like a squeeze toy), trumpet, drum, maracas and tambourine. My toddler is 1.5 years old (18 months) and likes each instrument. All instruments were working/functional. The trumpet was the most difficult one to figure out. It requires a perfect seal around the mouth piece for any sound to come out. The keys don't seem to do anything with the sound though. The harmonica is loud. Otherwise, a great…

Pros
  • The flute toy is perfect for children to develop their sense of tone and learn how to play woodwind instruments
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other toy options

Nice gift. Get ready for some noise

A nice gift. Due to variety of instruments my. 3 yo boy and my niece who is 7 play with it equally interested. Get ready for some noise in the house.

Pros
  • It was cute for the price and ok quality
Cons
  • Lid is hard to get off for storage. The flute broke early. I thought it would be more kid friendly.

For little kids a great buy

My kids love all of these. The noises the flute, trumpet, and harmonica make are very annoying though. They are very high pitched however, my children love the drum to beat on (and put things in) and they love that the instruments even make noise. Perfect for 1-3 year olds. The drum does come apart pretty easily but my son has something to bang on instead of him trying to bang on pots so we are happy.

Pros
  • These toddler musical instruments in this set are high-quality, durable and designed to grow with children, providing endless hours of creative play
Cons
  • May not offer enough value or benefits for the price

Fun but some parts not easy to use

I bought this set specifically because you can store everything inside the drum. Turns out the drum is a little complicated to open and close, for me, and much more so for a young child. So I ended up storing things separately anyway. Also, once the flute is put together, it’s too long to fit inside the drum. It’s not easy to take apart either so it isn’t worth the effort. The trumpet takes a good deal of strength to make it sound. Still a fun set but not exactly what I was hoping for.

Pros
  • Ideal Gift Choice
Cons
  • May not be as high quality as advertised

Extremely durable and super cute

This product is better than expected for the price paid. The face of the drum is clear and one side comes off so the other instruments can be stored inside. Also, the drum is extremely durable. I know this because toddler frequently stands on it and uses it as a little seat.

Pros
  • IPlay, ILearn Toddler Musical Instruments Toys encourage kids to develop their musical talents
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other music toys or instruments

Trumpet and harmonica squeak

Maybe it’s my own fault for not reading more reviews but the trumpet and harmonica make squeaking noises and nothing like a real instrument noise. It’s not a pleasant sound. My son also cracked the recorder within the first hour when he accidentally dropped it on the floor. The concept / non squeaking instruments were a hit with my son and his cousins, but I just wish there was a little more durability and better sounds.

Pros
  • The inclusion of a maraca toy allows for children to explore the sounds of various percussion instruments
Cons
  • Could be too difficult for young children to use

For the little one best in my review

Awesome value but toys are not actually instruments (eg harmonica only produces one note), I guess it’s not reasonable to want otherwise with price but I was a little disappointed . Little one does love his collection though

Pros
  • These toys are perfect for incorporating music into children's daily routine and fostering a love of music
Cons
  • May not be as fun or entertaining as other music toys or instruments

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good toy, bad instruments

The toys make an adorable gift and are easy to clean up. All instruments fit inside the drum which locks into place by twisting a drum head. My two year old is beating it up pretty well. And the drum heads are denting but holding firm. The downside: the instruments don't play. The harmonica and trumpet require too much air for my kids to actually play. The buttons/holes are fairly useless and don't really change pitches. The harmonica only has two small holes instead of actually being a…

Pros
  • This was a gift for my 1 year old nephew. He loved it. He is now 2 and still plays with it.
Cons
  • May become boring for children after a short period of time

Great value but inaccurate instruments

I really liked the value of this product: it comes with a lot of toys for the price. The quality isn’t amazing, about what you’d expect for the price range. The only real problem with these toys is that a lot of the instruments are inaccurate and aren’t great for actually learning about the instruments they represent. The trumpet has an extra valve which is kind of weird, and the valves don’t change the sound at all. The low notes on the recorder end up being half steps instead of whole steps…

Pros
  • The tambourine toy helps children develop their sense of rhythm and timing and encourages musical creativity
Cons
  • Could be difficult for some children to use without adult assistance
