Smells like Ireland!

Smells like Ireland! I gave it 4 stars because it's a bit difficult to get started and after you burn a few blocks it leaves a bit of a messy residue. Otherwise the smell is there.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

It's not worth it. for incense

The packaging was very bad. Turns out it pre-opened sometime long ago. Comes in a padded envelope - not suitable for a ceramic object and the box inside is more or less broken. Peat is extremely dry and does not burn for more than 30 seconds. Waste of money - lesson learned.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • So-so

I love the smell of peat fire

I love this product! One of my favorite smells is the smell of peat fire. He brings back a lot of good memories. So when I came across this little novelty sent by Torf, I had to get it. I mean, I kept it in my shopping cart for about a year because I really wanted to spend money on it, but then quarantine came and yeah, yeah I wanted to put my loneliness to it! Love it!

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Bad product: Incense sticks and incense holder

Small peat briquettes are very difficult to light. So I tried to hold the light in my hand. A small hot piece fell off and I noticed it. It continued to smolder and burned a hole through the top of the kitchen cabinet. Luckily my house didn't catch fire. Of course I will not buy any more of these products. I bought some of these in Ireland a few years ago and they lit and burned beautifully. Wayne Russo aka STRETCH.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect please read

There are many descriptions of the cottage in the reviews but I would like to fix the Pete issue that is associated with it. yes you can light it Yes, it takes time to fight it, at least a minute to a minute and a half, but once it starts, Asheville will have cinders that will burn to the end, to win you need to warm up first. Any Irishman will tell you that you need to warm up before you can continue smoking. Hint: Light one corner while holding the other corner

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Damaged

Bring the nostalgic scent of Ireland into the room

I love this little ceramic house. We have some peat bricks that we burn in an outdoor fireplace and when we do we can get this nostalgic smell of Ireland. When it gets too cold to sit outside (during the long winter months) we miss the smell of peat. The peat smoke from the bricks being burned in our home fireplace goes straight up the chimney and we cannot enjoy it. Burning a small amount of peat in this small house allows us to enjoy this smell in small doses during the winter months. :-)

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Available in white only

My Irish dad is crazy about it!

Bought for Dad as a Christmas present - he's already on his second helping of peat (sold separately)! I gave the fragrance 5 stars because he owns it and he loves it. The smell is not for everyone. My husband hates this. If you're using a wood stove and don't have a good draft then the smoke seeps back into your house - it's pretty much the smell. When he first lit it I thought the wood stove was leaking but it didn't even work. So that's basically what it smells like. The cottage is adorable…

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Thin

Chimney works best with Incense Sticks

The little miniature cottage is very cute and works very well with any incense in a cone or Pete's Incense. The smoke comes out of the chimney as promised so I'm very happy with that as some other similar cottage burners don't work very well. However, as other people have mentioned, the packaging was terrible! Only in an envelope and it is very surprising that the dacha itself was not damaged. The shot is shipped in boxes and the boxes are opened and hence there is black dust and incense sticks

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Nothing Here
