JAN & JUL Kids' Waterproof Cozy-Dry Rain/Snow Pants: Fleece-Lined Protection Review

Bought these "play pants" so my daughter could still pay at the playground in PNW from October to April. Last year she went to the playground in normal pants, wet them and slid down the slides. Damn. We have to be careful on wet slides with these play pants, because they knock you down very quickly! She ended up falling a time or two. In any case, the pants are warm and waterproof as advertised. The only downsides: 1. They're really baggy. This is probably necessary because there is no stretch.

In the winter we often drive to the north shore of Lake Superior. These pants are a great alternative to the bulky coveralls/overalls my child wears in very cold weather. We've worn her in these pants in over 15 degrees and she's never complained about the cold. She wets them in the snow! Never noticed moisture seeping into the inner fleece lining. It may not have been in the manufacturer's mind, but it's a great option for children with hypotension or special needs. My little one has mild hypotension but that's enough for her not to be able to walk around in normal winter clothes. She is not strong enough to move her body due to being overweight. Not to mention that prettier and neater winter suits don't roll up on your feet. So putting boots on a dangling-legged toddler who can't resist when you can roll up his winter pants? Forget it…
