JASGOOD Elastic 🎒 Canvas Keeper 1.5 Inch Review

I'm a little disappointed. On a picture of the product there are 5 loops lined up, the loops look square ie their height is equal to their width. So a loop designed for a 1-1/2" belt is 1-1/2" wide. Unfortunately, belt loops when you receive them are only 3/4" wide. Going back to the product photos, the close-up of the strap looks more like a 3/4" wide strap on top of a 1-1/2" wide strap. This is a decent fix for the flapping strap problem. But they have a limited lifespan: they're basically just a loop of stretchy material that works great the first time you put it on, but over the course of a few weeks it will stretch and lose its support. As they come in a 5 pack for a relatively cheap price it's not too bad, but a more resilient stretch material would be an improvement.

I'm a huge fan of the Jasgood belts they are made for and love that they have a loop to pull in the extra length (I always leave the belts a little longer than they should be out of habit (partly to make sure I don't cut it too short, or in case the cut end is too worn and I want to cut more, I might gain some weight, whatever). The straps can handle anything you throw at them (I wear one to work, do home renovations, and it takes a lot of abuse), but these loops will eventually stretch long…

Yes they are cheap and easy to replace but why do we need them? With no other belt have I had to change the loop. The straps are almost indestructible, why not a loop?
