Poor quality compared to the previous model

Right boot strap does not close - poor workmanship. The previous model Mermaid II is fantastic. I have 3 pairs and have been wearing them every day for 2 years. People complain that they don't have padding, and that's true. It's like walking barefoot, but with protection. Much better for your feet than heavy pads. I think it's better for your bones too. It's hard to find an older model so I really wish they were better.

They were easy to put on and take off which bothered me as I now have a hard time bending and stretching. I do aqua aerobics for seniors, so having a foothold in the pool was important. They did a good job for that too. Where they didn't work was two things: the lining came loose and bent/crumpled under my toes and ball of foot, making the movement uncomfortable. But even worse, while
