Jennifer Taylor still makes furniture for those of us who prefer a more traditional look. This stool looks perfect in my office and is functional. It looks classy and is comparable to other more valuable brands. But it appears to be of high quality, if not a family heirloom. The truth is, I can't keep cats away from the Ottoman Empire!

I thought the ottoman was much heavier, seems like the wood used is very light, not as strong as I thought? For the price I thought it would be a thicker wood, more durable? I don't know how the bottom is sealed and I don't want to damage the fabric to look inside. The fabric is regular, not exactly velvet, more of a smooth soft fabric but without the 'fluff' that velvet is usually famous for.

Don't be confused by the color "orange" as stated. The color is very soft, more like a light coral. I bought this to match my cream, rust and red chinoiserie style headrest chair and it fits perfectly! The fringes give my living room a classic look. Easy assembly, just screw on the five legs and you're done. Carefully packaged to ensure fringes do not bend or wrinkle. The same ottoman went for over $40 more at a major auction.
