While it fits, it doesn't snap onto the lens every time. The color is a close match.

While this item fits the Canon 70-200mm USM L IS f4 lens, it is not attached to the lens itself in every installation. Whenever the hood is switched to the storage position, it seems to lock in that position. I believe it's just a manufacturing tolerance with the plastic tabs on the hood. The lens hood seems to be quite well made and the color is pretty darn close to Canon's off-white. Unlike genuine Canon covers, there is no felt material to combat ghosting/light.
