    Suitable for light use only

    So far so good on the track. But if you're on the trail, you probably won't run into ticks, that will help. If they leave the path, they will be knocked off their feet. Overall, they're *okay* just very light. But at least they are cheap.

    Simple and I love these gaiters

    I bought these gaiters for a glacier hike this summer. This is exactly what I was looking for to have a little protection from rain and dirt getting into my shoes. They fit great and are easy to put on. Also very light and easy to pack. I would recommend.

    Poor quality of shoes and accessories

    Unfortunately they didn't work as I hoped. I am a full time gardener and work 7 days a week most of the time. I use them to protect my legs when eating weed. A year before I bought them, I bought another brand from Revain that held up very well for just over a year, so I decided to give them a try. They didn't even last a month when suddenly the buckle tightening the strap around my knee broke. I just had to throw them away. I have reordered another pair that I originally ordered

    Good cheap alligators best in shoes and accessories category

    These are good cheap alligators but they are short and won't cover your crew socks if you travel in shorts. Maybe I'm just a freak, buy so I'm HYOH. The material feels similar to a sil-nylon upper (black fabric) and polyester bottom (grey fabric). The drawstring adjusts easily under my sneakers and appears to be replaceable as it wears out over time. A metal clasp that hooks onto shoelaces works great. Time will tell if they hold up on the trail (AT) as I'm not sure how long the stretchy top…

    Waterproof gaiters for hiking, climbing, hunting, snowshoeing, skiing, winter biking, trekking, running, rattlesnakes or just snakes in general. I use them to prevent snake bites from black, milk, king and copper snakes which are known to live in the area where I live in Tennessee. I've had my shin bitten twice in the last few years while mowing my lawn and hopefully these spats will put a stop to that. So far, so good!     Snug n' Sweaty - Shoes & Accessories

    I bought these to wear while weeding in my garden so I can wear shorts in the summer heat but keep the stickers off my socks. Yes, I know genius. They do an excellent job of that. As others have pointed out, they are not that easy to put on. I bought these because they have a zipper, which I think would be easier than just velcro.     Works well to keep foxtails out

    I bought these as I do a lot of off-trail walking in the woods and fields. My boots accumulate a large number of foxtails, thorns and other problems. Socks are a must when running off-track. They also help repel mosquitoes and ticks. However, the bottom of the gaiter is not airtight, so mites can still crawl inside. This helps as the surface is smooth and it is harder for the tick to climb onto it from the outside. The real benefit is that they keep spikes and sharp tails away. (The ones that…
