Does the job well! to Computer Cable Adapter

Requires conversion of VGA video output from a very old computer for use with a new HDMI KVM switch and monitor. That worked great during the transition. The KVM switch acts like another HDMI source and transmits video directly to the monitor. The USB cable must be connected to an active USB port to power the inverter. There are no problems with the USB ports on the back of the computer. If USB ports are not available, use a powered USB hub or USB wall charger.

So we had to buy a wireless HDMI (which can be an issue when it gets fussy, which is sometimes) to send the signal to the TV. But now with this adapter we can reuse our old hidden VGA cables and no longer need wireless transceivers/receivers hanging from TVs and counters. As a suggestion, not a complaint, I'd like a flexible…

After reading the product listing a bit more carefully, I found that the USB cable that came with the adapter is for power - this cable is REQUIRED for the adapter to work. This cable plugs into a micro USB interface on the side of the adapter and connects to a power source (most likely your computer) via USB. Luckily I have a USB output next to my VGA. I tried this several times with a USB cable…
