Didn't know these parts do not match, the product description should be clearer. It's not worth my time to return, so I just toss it in my bin and order the part I want (from another seller).

quick release plate fits my joby gorilla pod but leaves little room to maneuver. When I'm out with my GoPro camera, I can hear and feel that there isn't much space. Not great for something that needs to provide solid support, but so far I haven't come across any situations where it has too much impact on hit.
