It was great because my 8 year old became independent and started cleaning his ears himself. I was hesitant to let him use the traditional cotton swab but I needed him to clean them myself. It was a great compromise and has become an indispensable helper in our home.

Have been using this type of cotton swab for many years. I recently bought these to clean my Chihuahua's cute, huge, pointy ears. Regular cotton swabs don't seem safe as I have a hard time looking down my dog's ear canal and sometimes he'll lean his head against the swab while brushing. The thicker head of these cotton swabs completely solves this problem. Although it may seem intimidating at first these items are great for adults and children alike. Much softer and better quality than the toothpicks everyone else sells.

These are counterfeits. I've been using these for my daughter for 2 years and the form of this qtip list is different, functional and not secure. The bulb is bigger and the earpiece is smaller, but the worst thing is that there is a hard stick sticking out, which everyone can feel and see (see photo!). Therefore, they are NOT safe for your child. All must be kicked out.

We have been using these on my children for many years. Although he can do it himself at this age, I let him use it to make sure he doesn't hurt himself. Always excellent quality Johnson.
