Jslinter Watt Appliance 🔦 Oven Light: The Perfect Illumination Solution Review

Bought (4 per box) February 2020. It's September 1st and I've just installed the last bulb. I buy light bulbs for my next appliance as they have such a short lifespan.

We use them in our oven which never exceeds 375 degrees. While bright and appear to be well made, these lights are short lived. Doesn't anyone make an oven lamp that really lasts long?

One of the 4 light bulbs was broken upon receipt. But I still only needed one, which I immediately put in the oven. It started well and hopefully we won't need the remaining 2 for a long time.

The original bulb that came with the stove lasted about 2 years. I bought 2 "GE" bulbs and they both blew within 3 months! These bulbs work great and fit perfectly. The filament inside the lamp looks thicker than the cheap General Electric lamps it has replaced. The base is US standard. If these lamps burn out sooner I will update this review.

Admittedly we don't use our oven lamp that much but we've had it for a few months now and the first one is still holding up. Because for some reason (and we have tried many big brands in the past) they are not only hard to find but also don't last long so I bought 4 packs. I haven't had to change a lightbulb yet, but I'll be ready when the time comes. The price was good for 4 bulbs and as I have a pretty low bar for these things that last a long time I was happy.

I thought it would be silly to buy 4 packs but our old oven lamp had grease on it which I was about to wipe off when it fell apart. So it fitted perfectly (after going to the hardware store proved unsuccessful) and I now have spare bulbs to replace my oven light if (not if) it gets dirty again. Of course, with a standard size base, I could use these bulbs in multiple places around the house. They will not fit the 16" lava lamp I bought them for. They are slightly shorter than standard household bulbs and the lamp collar prevents them from being screwed into the socket far enough. They had to replace a 40 watt supermarket bulb I bought as the original lava lamp bulb blew out last April after about 3 years. The replacement bulb at the supermarket was for a 6pm ceiling fan and lasted about the same amount of time. They fit into a smaller oven outlet though so I can't go back now but…
