Wheel is ok but lagging screw is a joke. Broke in two when installing (it looks very solid but when I had to apply more torque at the end when it was almost fully screwed in it broke in two). Damn. But still 4 stars for a good steering wheel. Screws are expensive so a quality screw should be included for the price of this unit.

It's great. Excellent price and quality. Ease of installation. My husband used a small block of wood and painted it to attach to our play area for more support. We put this on the bottom half of the little one's play area and bought a periscope for the top half of the one year old's play area. And product quality, and add more fun and adventure, imagination for children.

Installed on my daughter's playset (she loves to "drive"). The kit comes with a screw, which is very difficult to install. We tried, got frustrated and used a lag screw instead. It's a lot easier to drill and then screw in with a Phillips bit rather than trying to use a horrible screw from a kit. However, once we attached it with our own hardware, it holds up, looks great (matches her playset) and she loves it.

My grandkids love these bikes in the parks. I can't have an entire ship in my yard, but with a childish idea of what it is, I figured a few well-placed items would do the trick. The weather is terrible now, but the children are already happy about some kind of wheel. I don't see any problems with the placement of the ship's rudder and other items. I'm so excited for the spring weather to start my new play garden!

About a year ago we added this to our existing swing/play area set. It stands up to both the elements and (abuse) a few kids might cook. We had to use a 2x4 piece to clear enough clearance from the top board, but it's barely noticeable and still works like new. This is a great addition to any play structure and gives children a different way to play and pretend.

This product was exactly what I was looking for! I wasn't sure if I could screw it into the plastic but everything fit and worked perfectly! The screw was short enough not to pierce the other side, but long enough to be strong. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the bolts that came with it were very difficult to tighten in the hole in the wheel. It would have been better if the screw had a notch so I could insert a screwdriver and tighten. Depending on how roughly…

We purchased a large play structure from Costco and loved it, but it was missing a key element needed to delight my two-year-old grandson: a steering wheel.
