Description of Justrite 7325220 Galvanized Transport Dispensing

AccuFlow safety cans ideal when remote usage of gas fueled equipment is needed. To prevent vapor release and spills during transport, a hold-down bracket is tethered to the spout and equipped with a big, easy-to-grasp tightening screw. The fusible link melts at 165 degree F to prevent dangerous pressure build-up at elevated temperatures. Simply disengage the fusible link bracket when the can is not being used for transportation purposes and the can acts like a normal safety can. Measures 11-3/4-inches outside diameter by 12-inches height.

Disappointing Dangerous Goods Dispenser

My analysis of THIS product in the Industrial and Scientific category showed that it falls short of expectations... While the material seems sturdy the locking mechanism is unreliable and caused leakage of hazardous materials. The product is also difficult to maneuver and transport, making it a hassle to use in a busy work environment..

Pros
  • Sturdy material
Cons
  • Unreliable locking mechanism, difficult to maneuver

How I justify the price of safety

Like many others who store gas, I have used these cheap plastic canisters for years and have never felt safe doing it. You may have heard stories about how they can supposedly shatter or even explode. And plastic IS porous, so it can evaporate into the atmosphere over time. I just didn't feel comfortable storing them in the attached garage knowing that once the plastic container melted they would actually start a fire. They are and difficult to use without spilling. I don't see how it's better…

Pros
  • AccuFlow safety canisters are ideal when gas appliances need to be used remotely
Cons
  • Disappear
