Reversible cover and adapter work as advertised by seller. Can be turned over for storage. I went further and added a 67mm UV filter along with the hood with an adapter ring, all worked well although I found (no hood attached) that the combination of everything together gave the barrel enough weight that it had seizures of deceleration would have. expands automatically. The hood and adapter are a good buy.

I love this product and find its reversibility a real plus. I like to keep the UV filter in the adapter and have found that the lens hood can be attached with the filter. The only way to flip the lens hood is to remove the filter, then remove the adapter ring from the lens hood, rotate it and reattach it to the lens hood and then back to the camera lens. There is a way that is very convenient to take the trouble.

This item looks good but unfortunately does not fit my Canon PowerShot G3X. No instructions are included, and although you can watch videos online to see if it might help, the adapter ring just won't snap onto the threads around the lens. The resistance is so great that I'm afraid of breaking the camera if I keep trying to attach it. I had to order the official Canon version of this article. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.
