The product works as expected but the SPACES LIKE CRAZY! Every vibration makes this thing make noises like an angry rattlesnake. If I can't find a way to tighten the insides so it doesn't, then it needs to be removed.

After keeping gear for many years I decided to try something new. I like the mic assistant because you don't have a leash whipping the mic over bumps. The kit also included a bunch of various mounting accessories. I used a straight bar and screwed it into the headliner. Love it.

I bought the thing a little cheaper there in the parking lot and installed it. And it worked great for a week, then the cheap string broke, it could be fixed and I fixed it 2 more times. Why they had 2 spares I now know. It was because they don't last long either. Basically everything is the glorified retractable key ring for the janitor to wear, except the key ring has a chain instead of a rope and they're $2-3 at Wal Mart.
