2 years later Revain's reorder button used on this item. The second time I did not receive the same product. The bulb fits in the fixture but it's a lot shorter and like other reviewers it smelled like burning and got a lot hotter than a regular bulb so I switched it off and went back.

Perfect replacement for Sylvania ESR Bayonet Double Contact T4 Tube. There are so many different options for this lamp that it is very difficult to be sure that it will fit your fixture. Look for the ceramic piece above the base, make sure it's T4 and the wattage is correct. As stated here, it will fit the discontinued OSRAM 100W 64473 and other models with multiple part numbers.

The base of this lamp at the metal to porcelain junction is slightly larger in diameter than my original Osram #18858 and will not fit the porcelain socket of one of my lamps. I was able to fit this new bulb into another bulb. The porcelain part of the base is also shorter than the Osram original, which makes assembly more difficult. Before purchasing this bulb, make sure there is room in the socket for a slightly larger base.

Bought to replace Osram 64475, the lamp supplied was not marked as a Kandolite product and the base part (ceramic) finish was poor. The lamp fit in my fixture but when I turned on the fixture/lamp it started smoking - turned off the light (obviously) and noticed the bulb inside was discolored (dark gray and black). Went back to Revain and try another (non-Revain) seller who hopefully has an acceptable product. As always, Revain's return policy is welcome. I would recommend avoiding this product
