Mostly good, a few complaints

I do not know who in the world designed this part of the pack, but they should be fired immediately, as should anyone who approved of it.The separator between the sleeping bag compartment and the main pack section is the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen on a pack, ever. It's literally a thing flap of fabric with two of the little loop and stick whatever things you'd usually use to hold the windows open on a tent. This is so unbelievably stupid, it hurts just to look at it.When I stuffed my sleeping

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain types of gear

Large pack but shoulder and hip straps are undersized

Used this pack (105 L version) on a backpacking trip on the Cabin Loop Trail, Coconino National Forest, Arizona.Pros:-huge main compartment, sufficient for very long trips in the backcountry-numerous large external pockets, very nice feature-mesh pockets on the sides easily accommodate 4 Nalgene bottles….I was able to carry 5 L of water-lots of external attachment points to strap, clip or tie on extra gear-seems durableCons:-for as much weight as you can pack into this bag, the hip and shoulder

Pros
  • Awesome product.
Cons
  • The backpack may not be suitable for extreme weather conditions

It puts most of the weight on my hips like it is supposed to. My shoulders don't hurt anymore on backpacking trips like they did with my first backpack. Much more comfortable and snug too. I like the keys holder in the top hat and the side pockets above the water bottle holders that are very easy to access. I wish the pocket on the back had a larger opening so it would be easier to fit my notebook journal easier.

Pros
  • Loaded 42 lbs of gear in it and was more comfortable than any of the 4-5 previous packs I’ve used
Cons
  • Material and construction quality can be inconsistent

It’s niiiiiice: my feedback

This is an extremely comfortable pack, I had about 50lbs on me while climbing Mt. Marcy and did about 20 miles with it on no complaints, the only cons I would say is the top does not convert to anything it’s permanent but adjustable, the second con is no built in rainfly, and the third con I would kind of argue a little is organizational storage it just has big pockets but when I went on the trip I knew where everything was just a pain to get sometimes

Pros
  • ‎85 Liter
Cons
  • Limited versatility for other outdoor activities

Not the same color as pictured

I had a Kelty external frame pack in the early 90s when I was in Boy Scouts. Afterwards I went in the military and have carried an ALICE pack since, until now. I got the 85L in Asphalt. A Major selling point for me was that it has external pockets for gear I’ll need quick access to such as water bottle, rain gear, compass, pocketknife, headlamp, firestarters, first aid kid, bug spray, and sunscreen. It doesn’t have a bunch of stupid zippers going to the main pack and making weak points that…

Pros
  • ‎13 x 19 x 32 inches
Cons
  • Limited breathability can cause sweating and discomfort

No J Zip for main compartment.

That's my only complaint. Very comfortable. Looks and feels tough, though only time will tell. Distributes weight well. 65L has plenty of room for my gear with space left for food and water. Did I mention it's very comfortable?

Pros

Cons
  • May not fit comfortably for users with narrow hips

Great pack for a budget

This pack has gone in several back country trips in Yellowstone National Park since I’ve purchased it and it hasn’t let me down. I can see me using this pack for quite awhile. Kelty is a great brand and it’s nice in the wallet as well.

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • The backpack can feel awkward and unbalanced on uneven terrain

It’ll do the job. good for me

Decent amount of pockets. Cavernous main pocket. Good storage for bivy sack and other items.Would be better if it came with a pack cover but made a bunch of 3-6 miles hikes this week with 55lbs and it handled the weight well.

Pros
  • Easy access to gear and supplies with quick-zip front pockets
Cons
  • Can cause back pain and discomfort for extended periods of use

Excellent Pack for my opinion

This pack is extremely comfortable. Excellent quality. Did I mention how comfortable it is. Seriously, it's a great pack.

Pros
  • Multiple compartments and pockets offer plenty of storage and organization options
Cons
  • Limited security options for valuable and important items

Great for hiking: my feedback

I'm glad i purchased this bag it can hold alot and shockingly lightweight. I would like to see more review videos on this without the bias commision based reviews from people who are sponsored. Overall a good bag

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Limited weight distribution can cause discomfort and fatigue

Seems like a great pack

Everything on this pack seems really good, only complaint is the shoulder straps padding seems a little bit thin but thats just a personal preference.

Pros
  • Lightweight and spacious design makes the Kelty Coyote Backpack ideal for extended trips and backpacking expeditions
Cons
  • Limited compression options

This is an awesome backpack!

I took this on 2 separate backpacking trips. Each one was a 3 day 2 night hike and this packpack was amazing. I am a 52 y.o.female and was worried about how it would carry but it was the least of my issues. Very tough, durable and worth the price!

Pros
  • ‎Trekking, Hiking
Cons
  • The backpack can cause rubbing and irritation on certain areas of the body

Perfect pack for me

I got the Kelty 85 Coyote it was perfect for my 4 day backpacking trip. I was able to fit all my gear. It felt like I had no weight at all. Not to mention I was hiking in rugged terrain climbing and descending. I’m glad I didn’t spent more on different pack.

Pros
  • ‎Limited
Cons
  • May not fit comfortably for users with broad shoulders
