Although they have only just been installed I don't think they will fail over time. This is exactly what I wanted as they replace the stock hex nuts for my TJ's doors and eliminate the potential for damage by using a hex wrench instead.

Really did a better job fixing my doors. I didn't have nuts to secure my doors before and they helped a lot against the freeway rattle coming from the doors. These nuts appear to be a standard hex key so I'm not sure how they deter theft but it doesn't pose much of a problem on my doors either. Let's face it whoever is trying to steal the 06 LJ's door.
