I was a little unsure how this would work with my new laptop but right out of the box it fits on the keyboard like it always should have. Also, it's a fairly thin piece of silicon, so you'll hardly notice its presence. Good product! Update: a small moment of annoyance; The light on my caps lock key is blocked by this skin. You have to start typing to find out if it's enabled or not.

I love having this keyboard cover on my HP laptop (it rests under my fingers when I type this). If I have crumbs or, God forbid, a drop of liquid on the keyboard while eating, nothing gets between the keys. I just take it off and sometimes shake it off. In theory I suppose if it got sticky I'd wash it in the sink with warm soapy water. At the moment this is not required.

This cover solved my weird problem! Bought a new 2020 HP laptop and within 2 months the letters on the keyboard were SHOT. At first I thought it was dirt, but it's not. In 23 years of using laptops from different brands, this has never happened. This lid was the perfect solution and the black lettering on the lid is clear and easy to see. It's also very beautiful. I don't have a backlight but I don't need it because the letters on this cover stand out even in the light from my screen.
