Urban Wallet Charcoal Black by KeySmart Review

I bought the second one because the money clip came off the first one. That. I had a week or two and the money clip popped out too. The first had some kind of kit with it, the second didn't. So I think it will be made less powerful. I will not buy this again, it will deteriorate, the product is no longer good. I never got a response to my first review asking if they could get it right and I don't expect them to.

The wallet is slim as advertised but nicer than pictured with patches of red stitching and faux carbon fibre. No wonder the wallet reminds me of an Italian sports car - sleek, nimble, attractive, but bordering on minimalism. It took a few placements to figure out exactly where the tile goes (I chose the middle pocket, not the thumb slots on the wallet).

When I first got this wallet I loved the thinness and simplicity but now that I've only had it a year it's falling apart. The fabric begins to diverge between the outer flap. I wouldn't expect that from a $40 wallet, especially after only 1 year. I didn't have more than 3 cards on each side so it wasn't because my wallet was too big. For $40 there are many options that are just as nice and last a lot longer.

After some getting used to this wallet has become a great replacement for my traditional leather back bag. Now I carry it in my front pocket and forget about it half the time. A wise investment for those of us with backaches from a piece of old leather sitting in our back pockets, and let's face it, most of us don't need 75% of what's in it anyway. The KeySmart Urban Slim Wallet is a great way to downsize to what you need.

Terribly heavy product that oddly protrudes in the pocket. The material felt like cheap plastic, a synthetic experiment from hell (and I've bought and loved other KeySmart products). I gave this wallet 5 stars for what it is. Great extra "wallet" if you don't want/need to take the entire contents of your wallet with you; or if you are a true minimalist when it comes to purses.
