Switch without 4 speed

Dimmer works properly. The 4-speed fan switch is what Kichler recommends for its 3-speed fan. I have reverse gear. The first setting (actually the second on the switch) is for high speed and gradually decreases as you move the switch up. Also, it doesn't have a very smooth ride. I would only give this part of the switch 2 stars and the light dimmer 4 stars for my rating of 3. That's really bad as their fan is great.

Pros
  • Available in ivory (unlacquered), white and almond
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Fan control works 'back'

The light slider to the left of this switch operates in a logical order - from 'off' at the bottom to dim light to maximum brightness at the top - the right fan slider is inexplicably reversed . The fan slider moves from "off" straight to maximum fan speed, and then the fan slows down as the slider moves to speed #4. Even if you end up getting the speed you want, this isn't an optimal design. Kichler Customer Service has confirmed that this description of how the fan slider works is correct, so

Pros
  • White trim
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good Dual 4-Speed Reverse Logic Slide Switch

PROLOGUE: I have a four position fan switch that works great in my home. What I don't like about it is that the fan speed slider works in reverse of what you would expect from positions 1 through 4. The speed setting at position 1 should be (intuitively speaking) the lowest fan speed, gradually increasing to the maximum speed at position 4; i.e. from lowest to highest, just like the slider for a light switch. But my switch works in reverse, so position 1 is the highest speed and position 4 is…

Pros
  • 5.5"(H) x 2.75"(W); 0.5 lb
Cons
  • Minor Repair
