Not used for toys, my children are all grown. We use it as a potato basket in the kitchen to keep them out of sight and not to put bags of potatoes on the floor. It was easy to assemble and was durable. The flat top gives us extra space to place items when the counter is full for some reason.

Love it! We bought one for Toypocalypse in our living room. We liked it so much that we immediately bought a second one. It matched the furniture in our living room perfectly and was a better option for us than the bright plastic bins. The only downside is that the installation instructions for the two don't stick very well. We had to do this several times and the third time we used longer screws than the ones supplied.

We've had these shelves since 2014. We stacked two of these on top of each other in our son's room and mounted them on the wall. They are exactly as advertised and look just like the pictures.
