🌸 Kikumasamune Japanese Sake Skin Care Cream: Supreme Moisturizer for Men and Women, Face and Body - 150g Review

Love this brand and buy cleansers and other lotions. Japanese brands tend to be higher quality and cheaper than our big stores in the US and I have been using Japanese cosmetics for many years. I bought this cream to see if I would like it as it was advertised as being light. But this is a heavy cream, suitable for the night but heavy for the day. Smells good and has a great feel. Good quality; I will use it at night but I prefer a lighter one.

This Kikumasamune cream broke me. I used it in combination with Kikumasamune Sake Toner. Big mistake. I know this because these two products were the only new skincare products I've added to my skincare routine. I have pimples on my cheeks and chin. Not a pretty sight. I have very sensitive skin and have to be careful what I apply. This cream is magic! It's so moisturizing and doesn't cause redness or irritation. I have definitely noticed that my skin has become much softer. I also use it in the chest area. I've tried many products over the years and I have to say I love this one. If you have dry skin I definitely recommend it. And yes, I'm over 50!

Is this product good? The cream jar was wrapped in clear tape. In the English language there is no other word than "Made in Japan". No English instructions added. What really put me off, however, was the smell! Disagree with using Horse Placenta. If you think this means a mare will give birth peacefully and her placenta will be used, then no. The placenta extract for all Kikumasumune creams sold worldwide is not obtained this way. It would be like collecting hormones for Premarin: keep breeding mares and literally killing foals after birth so the mares can be bred again. Think twice before buying anything with a placenta.

This Kikumasamune cream is the best for my face. I feel like I finally found one that suits my skin. I've tried many other skin care products but they just weren't oily enough for me. It's a rich cream and perfect for my dry skin. I even use it under makeup and the creamy foundation I use stays on all day. With other skincare creams, my foundation seems to absorb into my skin leaving my face very dry.
