I have both the previous version and this one. The bracket you attach to the air vent is very rigid, which causes installation problems on some cars. The previous version was less "secure" in design but actually works better.

Will not fit in my Mazda 6. Too thick to fit in my car's air vent. He damaged it, and I was lucky enough to be able to attach blades to it. I give 1 star because there are no returns. I'm not happy with this, but I should read other reviews that say the same thing. He's holding my Samsung S8+.

It doesn't work. He appears to be holding on to the ventilation grille. But it falls off, you can't answer the phone, it's just a wrong decision. I have bluetooth in my van but I use my phone for maps a lot. It's been a great addition to my freehand tools. It got ridiculous, especially in traffic jams, glancing up and down from my phone in my lap or on the center console. It was wonderful. so easy and quick to switch from one car to another. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a smartphone holder. Spring-loaded sides fit phones of different styles and sizes.

I tried it with HTC A9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It's good for both, but doesn't offer stability for phones (especially S6 Edge). I use it with my phone in a vertical position. Over time it seems to keep tipping downwards due to the weight of the phone. The part that goes into the vent takes up quite a bit of space and bends the vents quite a bit in both of my machines. This fits right in as my husband wanted me to get something that isn't magnetic (because your compass might not work) and that isn't attached to the dash (because of the vision block) . The "claw" portion stretches to fit our two phones and stays tight enough for me to mount my phone vertically. This is the third time I have bought this product. The first broke after about 2 years, the second was given away and the third broke after a year. Unfortunately, a product with a high price (double that of similar products) does not have stable quality.
