So it was a hit at a barbecue with family and friends. The kids loved it and the adults were thrilled to light them up and watch them fly into the night sky. It really helped lift everyone's spirits. Easy to use, takes a minute or two to take off. You just have to be patient after lighting it up and gently lift it up in the air to help it fly when it's ready / Will do it again!

Gave 2 stars because only 2 out of 5 in the pack worked - that's only a 40% success rate. One came with the lantern breaking so it wouldn't rise and the other two caught fire and had to be put out (I recommend keeping a hose nearby). Quite disappointed as I wanted to publish it in memory of a family member who passed away in December. If you want to release multiple, buy multiple packs or just choose a different brand/offer.

I believed the lies that they were environmentally friendly. Until I open one. What I immediately noticed was that the fuel tank wasn't pre-installed like I've seen on other lights. It must be collected manually. Even worse, the bridges that support the fuel block are made of metal wire! Does that sound green to you? You can buy other lights that use ropes instead and come fully assembled. avoid them.

Several lanterns had tears and holes fresh out of the packaging. They were definitely not "flame-retardant", we lit 2 candles and my finger even caught fire. The glue used to attach them stuck where it shouldn't, and trying to gently peel them off also brought tears. They don't go up very high and go out after about 1 minute. Now I will use a different view. Aside from a good laugh at how cheap they are, little to nothing good came from the experience.

They were great at my daughter's birthday party in Rapunzel: Tangled. They work very well, but if you don't open them all the way and hold them very carefully, they easily catch fire and don't work.
