Stained, difficult to use

I have a feeling the same stained item is being sent out to new buyers, because mine came with grease and dirt stains all along the handles on the light diffusing screen (the white one). This matched the stains shown in some photos I saw here. But, when I went to exchange it, they are out of stock. I'm tempted to see if they suddenly have one back in stock after I return mine. It's also rather difficult to fold back up and comes already seriously wrinkled (I don't see a way around this with the…

Pros
  • The multi-functional design eliminates the need for multiple reflectors
Cons
  • May create unwanted shadows or reflections when used in certain lighting scenarios

Careful One opening for the first time

Excellent Quality. Very versatile. Just watch out when you open the packet for the first time. New photo for what happened to me. Is also almost in half a bowl to get back in the pouch.

Pros
  • The durable construction is designed to withstand frequent use and travel
Cons
  • May be too large to use effectively in cramped shooting locations

Weak Handle on my review.

The reflector materials seem like what you'd expect. Functional. But BEWARE THE WEAK HANDLEIt'll be all folded up and nice for shipping. Mine surprised me with the amount of force it releases when it springs open. It wacked me in the nose and the cheap plastic handle cracked in a few places. It's still usable. But the comfort of a functioning handle is gone.

Pros
  • This reflector provides a large surface area to reflect light, making it perfect for larger subjects or groups
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of photography, such as macro or close-up shots

blinded by the light

this thing is huge.but it does the job. my assistant(s) are earning their pay lugging this thing around. handles are a nice addition and product seems solid. the case is a little flimsy and i'm sure the zipper will break over time. also took a while to figure out how to fold it up. even watched youtube vids in slow motion and still took about 20 minutes ;)

Pros
  • The gold reflective surface provides a warm toned reflection, perfect for skin tones
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of lenses or camera bodies

This is a review for the 32x48" oval reflector. In short, this is a brilliant design, no pun intended, and for pity's sake get the oval reflector and not the round one, it opens up a whole lot more options for just a few dollars more. The build quality is plenty decent enough and I would expect this thing to last for at least five or six years (if not more) with normal handling. The zippers function well, the material is better than most of the cheap reflectors I've seen, and amazingly, it…

Pros
  • Support Environmental Protection -- Multi Layer Design Also Saving 80% pigment loss than Ordinary Reflector
Cons
  • May not be able to effectively diffuse harsh lighting, as the reflective surface may be too reflective

Will be used often in my review

I was going to make a DIY frame from PVC pipe, I already have diffusion silk, then I happen to see this an thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did since if I still need more diffusion, I think the one on this reflector is only a half stop. Also save me the hassle of buying the PVC pipe and connectors. The size is perfect for table top work, possibly portraits too. one added feature is the pair of 1/4 x 20 inserts on the handles. does make mounting easier.Folding it up turn out to be a…

Pros
  • The reflective surface is water-resistant and can be used in all weather conditions
Cons
  • May not be able to provide soft, even lighting when used as a bounced light source

Reflections on a great reflector

Very happy with this reflector! It's huge, and it takes a minute (and maybe a youtube video) to really get the hang of folding it up. LOVE that it has the handles though, makes it much easier to work with, especially at its size. Also nice that it has multiple options, though truth told I mostly use the white reflector. That said, if I need anything else, I've got it! Also almost big enough to double as a background (especially for close up portraits or kids?) but haven't used it for that…

Pros
  • Easy to Use -- Within Two Comfortable Grips on The Reflector, Allowing You to Use it with Just One Hand. Provide Better Experience Than Traditional Reflector
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in extreme temperatures, as the reflective surface could warp or distort

Disgusting Yellow Stains

Where's the quality control? I was super disappointed to discover after unzipping the diffuser to find huge stains on ALL THREE corners of each handle. Like literally, huge stains right below EVERY. SINGLE. HANDLE. The pictures don't do it justice. How did this go overlooked? I'm disappointed because customers don't want to spend their hard-earned money on purchasing a product, then when they finally receive it, have to spend their own valuable time repackaging the soiled product, printing out…

Pros
  • The reflector is lightweight and easy to carry, making it perfect for outdoor photography
Cons
  • The handle may get in the way of other equipment or props on set

Worth the buy good for me

Overall good product, mine just came stained. It still does the job, but it is disappointing. So far I've not been successful in removing it.

Pros
  • Durable -- Multi High Quality Layer and Raised Grain Design. Which Make this Reflector Service Life Almost 80% Longer Than Normal Reflector, and Reflectivity Could be up to 90% !
Cons
  • The handle may become uncomfortable to hold over time, causing hand fatigue or cramping

Worth the Money best in my review

I love that it’s compact and easy to fold back up in less than 10 seconds. I feel like every photographer should have one of these diffusers for outdoor shootings for a key light.

Pros
  • The white surface provides a neutral reflection, perfect for creating a more natural look
Cons
  • The handle may get in the way of other equipment or lighting setups on set

A super set at the right price and available in many shapes - I chose a mid-sized rectangular that would be easy to take on location. I like the handles on them - easy to grab and carry. As with anything like this I find the folding challenging, but that could just be me. If you are going to be working outside and going on location - this is an affordable and invaluable tool for getting that great shot - flash or not.

Pros
  • The black surface can be used as a negative fill to create shadow and contrast
Cons
  • May not work well in poorly lit studios or outdoor environments with limited sunlight
