I liked this inexpensive toner kit but the printer only prints black pages. I think HP figured out how to get you to only buy their very expensive cartridges.

When I saw that the product had a chip I was excited. The toner cartridges work, but the chip does not show the ink level. My HP computer thinks the cartridges are empty. So I think we'll have to wait for the pages to go away to see when the levels drop.

I don't know what" Chip is " should do. When I installed the cartridges, the printer told me they were empty. Although the toner low warning has disappeared, it cannot determine the current level. The print quality is back to normal so I will keep using it until the quality goes down.

I have tried several cartridges without a chip. After a while everything started making strange noises and the chips were very difficult to change. These work great with no problems. Now it is the case that these are used chips that do not show the correct toner levels. If you need a level indicator, you need to buy an original cartridge. However, having saved a few hundred, I can live without an indicator and just switch them out when the ink starts to lighten.
