So far, so good! I've used it about 5 times to fill up with cold drinks on the go and I can rinse with water and put in my purse because I hate emptying mugs of spoiled liquids. I put it in my dishwasher and it was good. I haven't put hot liquids in it yet. I'll edit my review to let you know what's going on.

This is a cool gadget! It's easy to pull it up to full size, but it won't break. The ring on the bottom can be used around the cup when something inside is very hot. It then acts to protect the fingers from the heat. The straw can be folded up. The cup does not take up space when compressed. The color is great. It has a small hook so you can hang it on your keychain. Easy to clean. This is funny! For real. Even my little grandson thinks it's cool. Very cool design.

Great travel mug when space is limited. Last time I went camping we forgot the cups so we had to improvise for our morning coffee. Now I have this mug to carry with my camping gear and I will always have a mug for coffee, hot chocolate or tea! It's compact to fit in the palm of my hand and expands to hold a large cup of coffee. Doesn't leak and washes well. The only downside is the white band that helps keep the mug steady while the drink keeps falling. Not a big problem, just annoying.
