Garage door opener plugged into a 120v outlet 3 feet away. I have this to hopefully add light. Replaced with no problems and added LED backlighting to the base. Everything is working well. There are no problems here.

Installation was a bit of a hassle, the bars didn't seem too strong. On one of the two, the bulb holder actually came loose from the base when I screwed in the bulb. Revane immediately sent a new one.

There is nothing special about this device other than its excellent quality. I've bought cheaper devices but I've read that both cheap and more expensive devices will work but there is a reason to buy a better device, especially when it comes to power. Think of it this way: is a few extra dollars worth your security?

This outlet seemed like the perfect replacement for my old broken Leviton switch outlet in my partition. And the outlet was a nice plus. However, if you have insulated (bare) copper for your ground wire, you need to be very careful about the placement of the wires in the box. Luckily I had a 12 gauge insulated ground wire from a previous project. But otherwise it works fine. Before you finish, check the wiring with a socket tester.
