Description of 🔌 Enhanced Leviton SmartlockPro Combination Tamper-Resistant Receptacle

For an added layer of protection, the GFCI regularly conducts an automatic internal test to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault. Provides continuous ground fault protection detects and trips on actual ground fault even when self test is being conducted. Status indicator light shows power and protection status as well as indication of line/load reversal. Patented lockout action prevents reset if GFCI is damaged and cannot respond to a ground fault. Slim, shallow design reduced depth makes it easier to install.

Easy to install, great that you switched GFCI.

Easy to install. I'm not sure why others are complaining that it's difficult to connect. You connect the black power wire with a nut to one of the black wires (it doesn't matter which one), connect the other black wire to the black side terminal of the switch (they don't do this at the factory, just in case you're using it as a standalone switch i.e. no switched GFCI), then connect the white power wire to the side of the white wire and then to the ground nut. Did.

The instructions are wrong! At least for me/my setup.

Electricians trained here in Texas. When I installed this GFCI socket and switch combo, my first thought (after reading the instructions) was that one of the switch's leads would go to the hot load side of the device. After trying many different combinations I finally googled the schematic for this setup and it worked like a charm! Basically, you just need to connect one of the switch wires to the hotline connector (along with the hotline that powers the device) under the same terminal block…

The instructions are wrong. I have attached the correct diagram

What a waste of time! Complete and complete garbage instruction. How can they ship this with the wrong instructions? So many people pointed out the instructions were wrong but I had to see it to believe it. I finally figured out how to connect it (both the HOT line and the neutral line should be connected to the top terminals and the output to the bottom ones. Contrary to everyone else who just pointed out that the instructions were wrong were and that was it.. Actually I am attaching the…

Instructions are worse than no instructions at all

Installation instructions are rubbish. Much worse than if they gave you NO instructions. I didn't know there were so many ways to set this switch wrong, not since my college math class. Something like. n4 = n × n × n × n of TOTAL HOURS LOST IN 6 WEEKENDS. OK. SEVENTH WEEKEND and a FUN amount of research on multiple switches. I have understood. I also blew a $25 dimmer switch. YOUR SETTINGS MAY VARY. I recommend hiring an electrician but he may not be able to figure it out. Here's what worked…

Pool Light and Grille Socket - Working OK

My husband and I wanted to replace a faulty GFI for my pool and grille lights. It is in a weatherproof box. We used GFI protection for the pool and outlet lights. The socket is always switched on and the pool lights are switched on and off with a switch. Here are the settings we have and how we connected the GFI combo. We have 1 hot wire (we have red), a neutral wire (we have white) and a ground wire (we have green) coming from the main power supply. We connected a black wire (switch hot) and a

In the future I will avoid Levitron.

Instructions wrong. The device must perform 2 tasks - be a socket and a switch. In the past, they were often knitted - just not by Levitron. As mentioned elsewhere, the paper instructions are wrong. To complicate things further, the Levitron has load arrows and lines on the back of the switch, each pointing to different colored screws. Yes, "Load" stands for silver and brass and "Line" for silver and brass. Additionally, the Levitron covers the sides with plastic, so you can't see if the…

Fits standard sockets

Overall a good product. I was very concerned about the schematics after reading all those "fake diagrams" reviews, but I had no problems. Worked according to the attached scheme. The diagram shows two scenarios: two romex wires going into one box or three romex wires going into one box. My situation was that three Romex wires went to the box. Maybe the problem was just the Romex two-wire scenario then - not sure. I've made several switches (four-way, three-position, combo, etc.) and this was by
