Hands-free communication for social events.

I've seen similar units and recently needed one for a ham radio support event. My FT-60 fits perfectly in the tether and I have an extra slot for a backup radio or spare battery.

Tactical, but not practical

Handy as a paramedic the item is a nuisance especially for firefighters, it's an item for event workers or construction crews who need free hands but too many shields and ropes for everyday use. The design would be better if there was an elastic band versus a versatile pouch, when you need to pull the radio out it tangles in a rope that really has no reason to be there. If you're using in-ear headphones or a shoulder mic with side jacks, this can be a problem. But it works great with some…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • A few bits and pieces
