I thought all the fish would glow but only one fish glows at a time and then the fish is connected to the magnet on the rod. My son and I spent about an hour and chipped the fish in a water bath.

The rod wasn't very strong and could break very easily. I have used the product in decorations where the fried fish was very fun and inviting. Not sure how the product will work as a kids toy but the fish are very cute and light up when you touch the magnet on the pole.

Received this as a gift to play at an adult's birthday party. It says "batteries not included" but when we opened it to put the batteries in there were some inside and they were corroded. We cleaned the contacts and got it working with some effort. The packaging also says it requires 2 AA batteries but no idea where they go. We bought some of these toys for my son's first birthday. That was Tom Sawyer's theme and he set up a "fish pit" with fish and other aquatic animals in the paddling pool. Love the net and turtle and love the magnet fish concept but the rod was pretty flimsy and the rope was flimsy. The two poles were twisted together and could not be separated due to the knots. First of all, my 3 year old LOVES this bath toy! Convincing him to take a bath just got a lot easier! He likes the light, he likes the colors, he likes that he can actually catch and catch fish.
