Bought for my PS4 to increase USB capacity so I can use external storage, Turtle Beach DAC for my old P11 headset and my VenomX4 controller . works like a charm, it was as easy as plug and play with 2 extra usb ports. Works very well for my setup, it was exactly the solution I needed at a very reasonable price.

Well, first of all trying to install this thing was a headache! It will come in by a hair's breadth and then go sideways! The first port will occur, but the second will not! I had to sit there and play with it to make it snap! This worked as described but also caused the controllers to stop working, they lost communication with the console. So this item is useless!

Purchased for the purpose of using USB3 as external storage. An external drive will not work with any of the USB3 or 2 ports. The drive works great when connected directly to the PS4. The drive is also powered by the AC adapter instead of the USB port. I'm not sure what the problem is, but if you're looking at this with the intention of plugging in an external drive, be careful.

They removed my original review because they insist it was PS4 compatible hardware. However, my son assured me that just because the ports fit doesn't mean they actually work for the purposes they are needed for in games. I assure you that for practical purposes using it introduces a lag that makes additional ports questionable. I repeat, don't waste your money.

This item is trash. I've tried to please but I can't. I bought it to have multiple things at the same time, hard drive, charge controller, charging headphones etc. I can't use some ports as it's only 2.0 (wish I knew my stuff needed 3.0). My controllers aren't responding while playing. So I look to the left and the game registers in about 5+ seconds. Not sure why this data hub affects this, but only when I plug it in. Thankfully, this product only costs $10 because it goes straight in the trash

Overall this is a good product that does what it says on the tin. All USB ports work, and being able to charge and power multiple controllers is nice, as well as being able to use an external hard drive for extra storage.
