Nice little item for my desk. I bought this to store small items specifically for my work that can't get lost while I'm using them. I never worry about this item being accidentally knocked over.

I make small casseroles for dinner for one person. I heat it on the stove, melt the butter in it, then layer it on top of the veggies and finish it in the toaster while I cook the chicken or fish cut.

I love Lodge products! This one didn't disappoint me either. It's a little smaller than I expected. But that's my fault, its size was mentioned in the description and I imagined it to be bigger. It's advertised as a serving bowl, but I use it on the stovetop with no problem, except that you have to use a long spoon or feel the heat of the stove flame due to the small size of the cast iron bowl. In general I am satisfied.
