Lambda backed logscribe for easy cloud-based monitoring!

I like how easy it was to set up for our use case - we are using Redis as an in-memory data store rather than SQL so this helped us get off the ground quickly! We also used logscribe which made things even easier by allowing you to write log messages directly into your redis database without needing another service or process running alongside them (e.g., writing JMX metrics). It's not clear from their website if they support other languages but since Java 8 has been released with lambda…

logcabin has been a perfect solution for our databased driven app

It's free and easy to use. The GUI makes it very intuitive for new users. We have been able to store large amounts of data without causing our servers any problems. I've used other NoSQL solutions in the past but they all seemed like overkill at some point. If you are looking into using logcabins as your primary database backend this will be perfect for you! There isn't much I dislike about it. At first I was having issues with performance and consistency when dealing with high write volumes…

Pros
  • Great query language that is quite similar if not identical than SQL syntax making transitioning between them pretty simple once familiarized or experienced enough no need learn another set o commands altogether just switch from one DB system too its counterpart within same host machine environment :)
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
