must have FlightSim addon but limited and expensive

good: landing gear simulation perfect and great, must have GA plane addon to add more realism, bad: must find and load his own driver (e.g. Xplane) Saitek doesn't seem as cheap as it really is, multiple switches sending their status to USB don't need to be 100's. The launcher 'holds', ie when the launcher is released it doesn't return to both (this should match) would recommend completing the realistic sim though, but at the cost and disadvantage.

Doesn't work natively with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

I'm using it with DCS and Xplane so I was expecting to use it for the recently released Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, it's currently not supported. The Xplane has a driver and the DCS requires the 3rd party Flight Panels application but both will work. Logitech is sending mixed messages to some people who purchased this for MSFS2020 as one rep said the team is working on a fix and another recommended the person return it as there are no support plans at this time. MS/Asobo did not address…

Typical cheap accessories for gamers

I just ordered a THIRD Logitech Flight Simulator "Switch Panels". They are short-lived; If everything works after a year, consider yourself lucky. This product is one of the many cheap, low quality plastic fantasy gaming products on the market that never last long and unfortunately there are no alternatives if this is what you are looking for. I buy this item after every mishap - having my own real planes I need additional realistic physics switches offered for my simulated flight - there is…

Works, requires special drivers

I'm using this on Linux with X-Plane. I would also like to use it with FlightGear, but I'm not sure if it's compatible. X-Plane requires special drivers to work. Since it's basically just a dumb block of switches, except for the chassis lights, I wish it could be called a standard joystick full of switches. Chassis LEDs can then be a separate function/endpoint and supported by dedicated drivers. This greatly improves the usability of the product. In general, it does its job perfectly, but its…

Switches fail quickly

I've had two of these panels, an original Saitek and now one of the rebranded Logitech panels. They work great right out of the box and can be easily configured using 3rd party programming tools (SPAD, SPAD.NeXt) to perform various functions in your flight simulator. While I didn't experience a complete device failure, individual switches on my original Saitek panel became unresponsive within a few months. When he was a few years old, four of the 13 cups were broken. It's not an assembly or…
