I used this a few years ago. I would buy 3 pieces. When it was discontinued, I couldn't bring myself to use the latter (pictured). I recently came across an old one and popped in here to see if they start carrying it around again. To my surprise they do. Although they are packaged differently, they are exactly the same. This product does its "mediocre" job of softening the highlights on my oily scalp. I was looking for a product that would give almost no shine but it doesn't achieve that goal. But it smells good!

I love the smell, very thin but so manly. The color is also pleasant to the touch. I have a problem that my skin takes a little longer to get hydrated. My skin is very dry so I wasn't expecting it to be extremely effective, but it gets the job done without being too bulky. I use it every day after my shower and just can't get enough of this scent.

For men who shave their heads, this is an excellent product to help minimize scalp shine. It only takes a small amount on the scalp to significantly reduce the shine you see when you've just shaved. Although there are other and more expensive products for this purpose, I find L'Oreal Paris Pure and Matte to be the most effective product for reducing shine on the scalp.

I was looking for something more affordable than Peter Roth Mattifying Gel, which costs $30 an ounce. Peter Roth Gel kills most of the shine on my scalp and holds up even in a humid environment. This product doesn't seem to do anything for the shine on my head. Unfortunately, as you can see before and after, my head is still shiny. It has a pleasant clean smell which is why I gave it 2 stars. Plus, it's cheap at $6. I think I'll try to use it to get rid of the shine on my nose.

I was looking for a moisturizer with a matte finish. The moisturizer looks blue and wet, but once applied to the skin, it dries quickly and leaves a matte finish. Lasts almost all day. I am very happy with this moisturizer and I love the smell of it.
