Doesn't lay flat (updated)

They never show you the back in photos for a reason. The grommet protrudes through a thin metal base plate so far that it will not lay flat on any surface unless you drill a large round hole just behind the grommet and wires. It is useless to replace my existing light above the door. UPDATE: I drilled a hole in the center back panel and routed the wires through. Works well with LED, not sure I would recommend this with a regular bulb which can get hot.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some issues

It works as it should. Low power consumption and bright light.

The wiring hole on the back may not match the access hole in your RV. I had to drill a new hole in the back so I could connect the wires. Just a note for those purchasing this; The light has black and white wires, black is plus and white is minus. Once you install it, the light will not work until you complete your RV grounding. When installing this light, connect the black and white wire, then connect at least one of the screws to verify grounding. It should work just fine.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some small things

Cheap Chinese piece of shit!

I was so upset when I opened the package and saw this crap. It's like I ordered a triple bacon cheeseburger and when I got home I had a Happy Meal burger. It works, but I don't think it will last long! This is a standard socket with an LED bulb. I thought it would be similar to the LED light I ordered for my daughter's camper van (pictured) but it's not! I also like a nice amber (orange) light, not a very subtle bright yellow. I can actually see the lightbulb through the lens. The lamp flashes…

Seems to be working fine. Be careful when installing

Seems to work well. The only difference from its cheaper counterpart is that it has an LED bulb but both share the same base. I was a little disappointed that he actually has an orientation. The base has a top and a bottom. I only noticed this when I was almost done with the installation. Unfortunately, the orientation is not indicated on the base. When I then put the plastic case back on, the holes from it and the base were offset by about half the hole width. But so far everything is working…

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Decent light but does not match hole pattern OEM

From the description you might think this light would have LED board lighting like the others, but that is not the case. This light is a traditional incandescent lamp that has been changed its design to a 1156 LED lamp. It still works well. I am unhappy that this light is about an inch longer than the original porch light used in my RV and all mounting holes are in different locations from the original. It works if you have 4 extra holes in your RV to install it. If you're starting from scratch

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Easy replacement and installation

Ideal for replacing the obsolete one on our 1993 trailer tent where the old one is hanging by wires. This one is larger and new holes had to be drilled to mount it. But it was just as easy with a drill and the right bit, screwdriver and elastic glue. I just reused the screws that came with the previous bracket when I removed the old one. This porch light comes with a clear lens. We found this to be too bright, so I turned the flat light bar down a little more, replaced the transparent one, and…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • weak

Very easy to mount on our trailer. I should have been a little more careful with my order. I wanted LED panels, not an LED 1165 bulb. I'll still fit them in as they can still produce the light I need outside the trailer, but nowhere near as bright as the interior LED lights I already installed have. It's hard to rate a smaller product very highly when you've started with a product that was vastly superior to this one. It's mounted on a self-contained, solar-powered camper trailer, so I was able

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Empty

Well built. Good value for money.

I bought the flashlight knowing I wouldn't have the opportunity to review it as our campervan was hardly used at the time. But I finally had the opportunity to use a Lumitronics RV Outdoor LED Porch Light and am very happy with the quality and light output. However, I did not use it as a porch. I needed extra light in our toy truck garage. There are two Happyjack beds that electronically rise to the ceiling. That's great for an extra room, but the beds block the light from the ceiling, making…

  • Good product for the price
