Overall, this is a high-quality product that is well worth the investment for avid photographers..

Yes, it works great with GoPro 3. And it just looks good.

I took a chance and decided to buy it even though it said GoPro 4. Perfect fit for my GoPro 3 and now it looks like a serious device. I use this as a webcam in my streaming setup and the aluminum body is just the thing for dissipating heat and keeping the camera running during my live streams. Out of the box this is a quality kit with all accessories and even a nice bag to carry the whole camera. Absolutely a lot and again and again. HERO 3 is friendly!
