Works great with an old floor lamp

Years ago I replaced most of the lamps in my house with LEDs. I bought this 30 watt light bulb to replace the 300 watt halogen bulb that was in my old nearly 6 foot tall floor lamp in my living room, the last of the bulbs. I was concerned if a large LED bulb would fit, but seeing a photo in an ad with electrode spindles low down at the base gave me hope that this bulb would fit and work perfectly. There was even room to rotate it side to side, which worked great, allowing me to focus the light…

Great upgrade for my billiard room!

While converting my living room into a billiard room, I wanted to update the lighting to make it brighter. I have 4 sconces in this room with 150w T3 halogen bulbs - good for socializing but not for play. Decided to try them to bring more light into the room and reduce heat/power consumption. I ordered 2 first to try them and was very happy with the difference in light compared to the other 2 halogen bulbs so I ordered 2 more.I can physically fit in these wall sconces. Great light, eco-friendly life for old halogen floor lamps! *minor* lamp modifications required for installation

I am very pleased with this LED replacement for the double sided halogen lamps. The brightness and color quality in daylight is what I was hoping for. It gave my old halogen bulb a new and greener life! Installation was not entirely smooth and required slight modification of the lamp reflector to allow the replacement LED to fit properly in the socket.
